Great Finger Food & Service | Entrepanes Díaz | Eixample
If you´ve ever been to the well established Bar Mut you´ll understand how this became a “classy” sandwich shop. This establishment is favoured by many who happily skip across town to try out “The Sandwich” sip cocktails and to experience a place where the staff policy is to hire over 50´s whom, subsequently, look dashing in their dickie bow ties and braces.
Quickie restaurant description
I´m gonna go 1920-1933 Speakeasy, the sound of late night clinking, jazz singers and where everyone knows your name.
Quickie Where is it?
Sits between C/Diagonal, one of the main arteries of Barcelona, and the lower end of barrio Gracia.
What food do they serve?
Finger food, warm sandwiches with interesting fillings . “The Sandwich” I mentioned earlier is Bocadillo de Calamares con mayonesa de su propia tinta y perejil / A filling of deep fried calamari and squid ink mayo, mayo, fresh parsley served inside a warm bun. Also try the Cazon Rebozada which I believe is dog fish, in a dry crispy batter.
It´s like Colonel Sanders´s pop corn chicken.
Service & ambiance
Those boys have had a lot of practice and exude grace and style. They make you feel kinda special.
Constructive criticism –
Pricey sandwiches. Expect to pay between 6 and 10 euro for a sandwich but they do have some unconventionally cool fillings.
